Primeramente deseamos expresar nuestro agradecimiento y a la vez felicitar al presidente de la republica, y al Ministro de la juventud por tener presente a la juventud dominicana, en particular, por impulsar el desarrollo intelectual y cultural de los jóvenes del sur, quienes necesitan del apoyo de nuestros líderes. También extendemos nuestro agradecimiento y felicitaciones al sub-secretario de la juventud con asiento en Barahona por tener presente a la juventud de nuestra provincia en tan importante iniciativa y por velar por el bienestar de la juventud de la provincia que él representa.
Velar por el bienestar y por los derechos de nuestra juventud es una función de líderes, por eso el Movimiento de Jóvenes Barahoneros con Liderazgo (JOBAL), además de resaltar, valorar y respaldar esta iniciativa; y aunque reconoce que las donaciones de becas para estudios técnicos e internacionales son proyectos de envergadura que requieren inversiones cuantiosas de dinero, también reconoce que solamente dos de los jóvenes de la provincia han incursionado en intercambios culturales en países como Taiwán. JOBAL desconoce la existencia de otros a quienes se les hayan otorgado becas para poder ejercer sus estudios en el exterior del país.
Por tal razón, creemos justo que la juventud Barahonera merece una explicación detallada del uso de mas RD$ 40 millones invertidos en la capacitación y el desarrollo intelectual de los jóvenes de la región sur, ya que a nuestro entender el construir canchas deportivas y entregar útiles deportivos son, mayormente, responsabilidades de las autoridades locales (AYUNTAMIENTO) y Ministerio de deportes (SEDEFIL). Nos gustaría que las autoridades competentes nos muestren objetivamente algunos de los logros en los cuales se ha invertido la cantidad de dinero superior a RD$40 millones en el 2010.
En ese mismo ámbito, aquellos que no tuvieron la oportunidad de obtener premios otorgados por el ministerio de la juventud serán reconocidos justamente por JOBAL, siempre y cuando reúnan las condiciones para ser galardonados, a través de un proyecto implementado en la ciudad de NY, el cual es patrocinado por los Barahoneros que sábado tras sábado se reúnen en el “TALLER DE RAMONCITO” a discutir diferentes tópicos de nuestra provincia.
El proyecto es titulado “PREMIAMOS TU ESFUERZO,” el cual consiste en premiar con una mini Laptop a todos los jóvenes de las escuelas públicas del cuarto Ano de Bachillerato que comprenden la provincia de Barahona, que al final del año escolar hayan obtenido notas sobresalientes.
Por tal razón, incitamos a las autoridades relacionadas con la juventud a implementar más proyectos a favor de los jóvenes de la provincia sur y apoyar más a las agrupaciones desligadas del gobierno que contribuyen con el crecimiento de dichos jóvenes.
